For Children and Families

Big Morongo Canyon Preserve is a great place for children to learn about wildlife and nature, get some exercise, and have some fun in the outdoors.

Bingo

There is a bingo game with cards available at the kiosk in both English and Spanish. See if you can find 5 things in a row at the preserve!

Agents of Discovery

In association with the Bureau of Land Management and the Sand to Snow National Monument, there is an Agents of Discovery game that visitors can play in the preserve or at home. It guides visitors to interesting places in the preserve and provides a teaching experience using virtual reality.

Beginning Bird Walks

Families with children are also welcome on the Beginning Bird Walks, which take place on weekend mornings when personnel are available. See the calendar for schedules.

Science Sundays

Every Sunday morning, the Education Center is open with hands-on science projects for kids and grown-ups to enjoy. Activities change weekly.

Group Tours

For organized groups, docent-led tours are available.
